Eight-Year-Old Drives Sick Grandma to Safety

Eight-year-old Emma Hicks, from Cleburne, Texas, is not only a quick thinker but a precocious driver. When her grandmother, Jeannie Mendoza, blacked out while behind the wheel of her SUV, little Emma unbuckled her seat belt and maneuvered the car through a fence and into a shed where it eventually stopped. It turns out Emma's driving skills were enough to avoid hitting a telephone pole.

Said her grandmother, "She seems like she's more than 8 years old to me; [more] like a little grown-up, you know."
