Reba McEntire Performs for Sick Coach

Seeing people pull together for a medical crisis is heartwarming. From a barista donating a kidney to a customer, students shaving their heads to support a classmate going through chemotherapy or clowns bringing smiles to patients in the hospital, we appreciate the kind gestures that everyday people do for one another.

High school wrestling coach Richard Carlini has mounting medical bills, but his students and friends in Des Plaines, Ill. are coming together in support. One longtime friend, musician and cowboy poet Red Steagall, will be performing on March 21, and he will be bringing along none other than country superstar Reba McEntire to raise funds for the Teachers, Coaches and Students Foundation. The foundation was set up by former students of Coach Carlini, with all proceeds going to their beloved mentor.

It was Steagall who discovered McEntire back in 1974, when she sang the national anthem at the National Finals Rodeo.
